- Print the PDF: Print the PDF on regular printer paper.
- Color: if you choose to print the black-and-white version, color in the creatures. Have fun! Use your coloring medium of choice (crayons, paints, colored pencils, etc.). Do this yourself as a coloring activity, or do it with the child for an added creative experience.
- Cut Out the Cards: Carefully cut out each image along the black outlines.
- Glue to Cardstock: Apply glue to the back of each image and affix it to a corresponding piece of cardstock. This step adds durability to the cards, making them more resilient to the wear and tear of enthusiastic gameplay. (If you don't have cardstock, use whatever you have handy: e.g., index cards, cereal boxes, shipping boxes, etc. Upcycle if you can.
- Let it Dry: Allow the glued cards to dry completely before moving on to the next step. This ensures that the images adhere securely to the cardstock.
- Cut Again: Once dry, cut around the images, leaving a small border of cardstock to frame each card. This step not only enhances the aesthetics but also makes the cards easier to handle.
