Three original works by White Plains artist Erwin Ong—School of Fish (platter), Fish Blobs #2, and 56 Fish—are part of the 25th Annual Vivian & Stanley Reed Marine Show. This juried group exhibition honors the legacy of two passionate art supporters and celebrates the enduring pull of the sea.

About the Show
Presented by the Stamford Art Association, the Vivian & Stanley Reed Marine Show is a beloved annual exhibition featuring marine-themed artwork from artists across the region. Now in its 25th year, the show is named in honor of founding members and lifelong sailors Vivian and Stanley Reed. Juried by local artist and SoundWaters VP of Programs, Mike Bagley, this year’s show highlights multimedia interpretations of the ocean, the shoreline, and nautical life—ranging from traditional realism to abstract and sculptural forms.
Featured Artworks
School of Fish (Platter)
A joyful ceramic piece that merges utility with whimsy. This platter features a lively school of hand-drawn fish, each with its own quirky personality, swimming together in playful formation.
Fish Blobs #2
A bold and graphic drawing done in maker with interlocking abstract fish forms.
56 Fish
A meditative pen-on-paper drawing that revels in repetition and rhythm. Each fish is distinct yet part of a larger school, inviting viewers to slow down and take in the quiet harmony of pattern and variation.
All three works are originals. You can explore more of my undersea-inspired art in my online shop.

A Personal Invitation
This show is close to my heart—celebrating both the beauty of marine life and the creative community that brings it to life through art. My own connection to the sea runs deep, and being able to share ceramic and drawn interpretations of that world in one place feels like a full-circle moment. If you're near Stamford this summer, I’d love for you to come take a look.
